ONE LIFE TO LIVE
“With malice toward
none and charity for all let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind
up the nation’s wounds.” – Abraham Lincoln
Charles T. Studd said
that he has one life to live. Not just the living that matters but fulfilling
the purpose. Abraham Lincoln said that it is not the years in your life that
matters but the life in your years. Life is a journey which will one day come
to an end. Along life’s journey there’s need that the sojourner makes an impact
on humanity in respect to God. There may be trials at one point but the
sojourner keeps on. The sojourner never gives up but keeps on trying even in
the face of great adversities. Sojourners who became great went out of their
comfort zone to make a much needed impact on humanity. For the Sojourner to get
to his destination he must be focused. He must have a lion’s heart. A mind set
of burning the bridges behind. A mind set of a winner and not a loser. He must
have winning as the only option. The Sojourner may be a slow walker but he
should never walk back. Every Sojourner has one life to live. He either lives
it well or otherwise as he chooses. He makes his choice notwithstanding that
there are influences yet he makes the final decision. He either decides to
follow the narrow way or the wide way. But he is advised to follow the former.
In the former he finds life. The life Christ Jesus has offered for all men who
are willing to come to him. He is the way. He is the truth. He is the life.
Though the journey of life may seem tough Christ Jesus makes it easier. With
him the Sojourner is assured of arriving at his destination. Remember he said
it is finished.
